Our Approach

About The Igbo Institute

The Igbo Institute is an answer to a gap existing in Igbo Anthropology. While Igbo Anthropology exists, the bridge between the average Igbo person and the Anthropology remains elusive. The Igbo Institute decided to serve as the bridge to enable every Igbo person to have a central location for contemporary, historical, and research material to uplift the Igbo Nation and its individual members. Please feel free to access any information you need from The Igbo Institute. If you cannot find the information you need, please feel confident that when you email The Igbo Institute for information on past, present, and future of Igboland, you will receive targeted reply. Please email all your inquiries to admin@theigboinstitute.org.

Gateway to Igbo

Igbo Ethnography

The rich antecedents of the Igbo people require exploration, first by the Igbo people who are losing touch, and then by all and sundry.

Getting accustomed to us

This same palm tree produces palm wine and tells everyone everything that should be known about the Igbo People and hospitality. Life requires two things: food and drinks. The  Igbo People deploy the energy resulting from food and drinks in enterprise.

The Igbo Institute recognizes the efforts being made by several individuals and entities to restore the pride of Igboland. Therefore, The Igbo Institute requests all and sundry to seek out  Igbocentric entities and support them until Igboland becomes what it was prior to the coming of the colonialists. The Igbo Institute is committed to bringing more knowledge and awareness to home and diaspora Igbos. Please also feel free to donate to The Igbo Institute.
